Fund Raising for Kenya Mission
I wanted to share a unique opportunity with you that I'm participating in and that I'm super excited about!
Next May I'm planning, with my church, to go to Kenya to work with AIDS orphans and tribal business owners through an organization called HeavenlyTreasures.org.
Heavenly Treasures is a micro-enterprise network that goes to countries in need two help them in two ways. First, to teach communities and tribes to setup, run, maintain and improve businesses based on their cultural hand crafts (ie. wood working, beading, etc.). Then HT brings their products back to the US to sell online, at local churches and at their storefront location. All proceeds earned from the sale of their products go right back into the hands of the community that made them!
Trips like ours send professionals, entrepreneurs and individuals who can teach new skills or business practices to help the community continue and thrive in their business trade. HT also partners with local orphanages to help and serve AIDS orphans that go with out so much so often without outside assistance.
My hope is that while I'm there I'll be able to document the mission through my photography and share with the business owners about marketing, and other business techniques and skills.
So, because each person needs to raise $5,000 to go on this trip I'm offering a special portrait day at which all proceeds from the sessions will go straight to the general team's financial fund which will make this amazing mission possible (and get this - all funds raised are being matched by a super awesome corporation!).
Kenya Portrait Day Details:
Currently I have one date only, however if demand exceeds our schedule we may expand to a second portrait date. Here's how it works:

**Dates other than October 25 can be scheduled for an additional $75 donation.

- Up to 20 minute session at Los Cerritos Park in Long Beach on Saturday, October 25**
